The Consortium for Energy Efficiency (CEE) is seeking input from commercial kitchen industry partners on two aspects of the CEE Commercial Kitchens Initiative, specifically automatic commercial ice makers (ACIM) and pre-rinse spray valves (PRSVs).
The CEESM Commercial Kitchens Initiative aims to define highly efficient cooking, refrigeration, and sanitation equipment across United States and Canadian markets based on voluntary equipment performance specifications determined by CEE member consensus and industry input.
- The second draft of the new ACIM specification is available. CEE is asking for comment from industry partners by July 31, 2020.
- The Commercial Kitchens Committee proposes sunsetting the CEE Commercial Pre-Rinse Spray Valve Specification, thereby discontinuing maintenance of the specification and qualified products list, and revising the Initiative to recommend that program administrators consider using PRSVs as an entry point to engage customers in energy efficiency. CEE is also asking for comment on this revision by July 31, 2020.
