CEE Revises Commercial Refrigeration Specification

CEE revised the specification for Commercial Refrigerators and Freezers effective January 1, 2010. The revised specification is equivalent to the ENERGY STAR® Version 2.0 specification and increases the number of product categories covered from 3 to 6. The revised specification covers solid and glass door refrigerators and freezers as well as chest refrigerators and freezers. The specification also designates efficiency performance levels for different volume categories.

New minimum standards in the United States and Canada also went into effect on January 1, 2010. For more information, contact Kim Erickson.
