CEE's EXPLORATION INTO ENERGY-EFFICIENT SCHOOLS
High-performance schools continue to receive attention on a state and regional level. Large investments in energy (estimated costs of $6 billion/year) combined with their unique purpose make schools an interesting and profitable target for energy-efficiency programs. Since 2001, CEE has created opportunities to share information about high-performance schools, including our periodic roundtable conference calls.

Currently a number of energy-efficient school efforts are in place on the national, regional, state and local levels. Each of the efforts varies in scope, duration, objective and approach but there are minimal communication links between the program administrators to share resources, lessons learned, success stories, etc.

CEE convenes biannual roundtable discussions within membership to provide opportunities to learn about program innovations, challenges and successes.
